It just keeps getting better! I looked for the parts a person could go visit but the Wikipedia site didn't say too much, except that Lamar Hunt has an amusement center someone could visit(Worlds of Fun and Ocean's of Fun). The US Postal Service's stamp collection location probably has a sales place there - and is not just a distribution center for collectible stamps.
A lot of the original movie reels like " Gone With The Wind " are stored there. I wish they would talk more about the construction of the place, especially what type of ventilation they use since so many vehicles go in and out.

Granny (Irene Ryan) and Jed Clampett (Buddy Ebsen) were in a parade for the St.Louis Fall Festival on September 27, 1970.
BUDDY EBSEN " I remember Irene had to go to the bathroom so bad during this long parade through downtown St.Louis. Finally, she made the parade stop while she ran into a Famous Barr department store and headed for the bathroom and then ran back."

THE NIGHT THE STARS FELL

That's what they called it. On the evening of November 12-13, 1833, when the greatest meteor shower ever recorded occurred. It scared the crap out of people when they saw it. Here are eyewitness accounts from some of those who witnessed it including Mormons who wrote it down in their journals as they were getting booted out of Missouri.

Of the 44.1 million acres that make up Missouri, 14.5 (32 percent) are forested. Over 350,000 private landowners own about 12 million acres (85 percent) of Missouri's forest acreage. 3 out of every 4 trees you encounter in Missouri will either be oak or hickory. And oak mites are awful this year - the KC Metro news stations here have mentioned them. Don't use repellent and a short quick walk under a few oak trees will render you some nasty itchiness for several days. We have experienced this over here. I'm just hoping that the freeze of winter kills the little no see-ums!
