The first governors of California, Colorado, Wisconsin, and New Mexico were all Missourians. Missourians also became governors of Arizona, Utah, and Idaho.

Missouri had 25 counties in 1820, almost all were along the Missouri and Mississippi river.

From 1820-1870, Missouri's population increased from 66,586 to 1,721,295.

The name for Vess soda came from its originator, Sylvester Jones. They also made Cleo Cola that featured Cleopatra on the bottle, these bottles are highly sought after, I saw a couple on ebay selling for $300 each.
