My sister is doing basic training and I am traveling from Virginia with two other adults and two children. She will be graduating from fort wood and I am trying to figure out whether to fly or catch the train. What city would I be flying to or getting off the train in? Can someone please help me so I can purchase the tickets in time? Thank you

I am guessing that you would get off the train in St Louis. That is where I would fly into, also. Unless you could get a cheaper flight into Springfield. Travel time from St Louis to Ft Wood is about the same as Springfield to Ft Wood. Springfield is easier for me to get around in. A lot less traffic and that suits this country girl better.

My son is graduating from Fort Leonardwood in July and I am traveling from Saipan, CNMI with my 16 yrs. old daughter. What is the closest lodging area to the post and what airport would we be landing at so I can start doing our reservations? Thank you and Oloomwai...
My son doesn't know that we are coming...

Congratulations on your son's graduation. You have probably already made your reservations, but there are several lodging choices in the Ft. Wood area. St. Louis is probably your best bet for an airport.
