We are looking to move to Columbia, Missouri, in the near future. Our question is, what is the neighborhood surrounding Cedar Ridge Elementary School like? On the real estate website Real Estate, Homes for Sale, Apartments for Rent, Local data - Trulia, the crime rating is "lowest," but we have been told that the area is not the best to live in. What is your opinion? Thank you!

Overall I'd say it's fine. There's a few spots that don't look as nice as others due to some people not maintaining their property well. There's also some rental housing in the area and some renters are good and some aren't. I delivered pizza in Columbia in the mid-late '90s and never had an issue going to that area.

Basically avoid the area north of I-70, especially east of 63. Of course, there are plenty of safe areas in the aforementioned locations, but it's still considered the "bad" part of town.

Also, the area between Stadium Blvd, I-70, Broadway, and Providence can have some rough patches.
