We are thinking of buying a house or condo in camdenton school district area until our girls are out of high school and then selling. Is it best to purchase a house or condo? Which would be easier to sell in three years? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

For just three years I would definitely lease, rather than buy. Property taxes, insurance, repairs, interest, and the cost of marketing the house when you sell (typically six percent) will make it virtually impossible to come out ahead in just three years of ownership.

Condos tend to be more volatile in their marketability; i.e. prices tend to rise and fall faster than a house. When the market slows down houses can be a tough sale, but condos can become almost unsellable.

But much more important is the neighborhood. If you know in advance you will be selling out in three years you want a neighborhood where people are actively seeking to buy.
