Well I hope I am able to make my trip on Wednesday. Going to CA for a wedding. Looks like I will have the kids tomorrow at the looks of the weather. When snow is on the ground in Strafford, the buses seem to not run, so school gets cancelled. Another make up day. Now that puts 6 to make up. Yuck! I am crossing my fingers. xxxxxx

It's still 42 here in Ava, and the rain is coming down in buckets. The radar shows ice from Joplin through Springfield and up to St. Louis. Snow on the other side of the ice. Doesn't look like it's going to be a great week!
Had a tarp covering all the wood we cut yesterday and the wind blew it up and off part of the wagon load. So I had to go out in this pouring rain and fix the tarp and put more rocks on it to hold it in place. It's not going to burn too well that's for sure. Also had to fix the tarp over the generator so it is usable if we need it.
Guess today will be a day spent in the kitchen making soup and cookies!
Maybe even some homemade bread.

Bundle up if you have to go outside... Cuddle up if you can stay in!

I don't mind the snow so much...it's the 1-2 inches of ice that will be on the ground as the snow begins to fall. It's so hard to deal with as it's happening - throw down the salt/chemicals too early, and they get washed away - too late, and half of the people bust their rumps on the pavement. I'm sure by tomorrow the streets & sidewalks should be in good condition for the snow - it's just the issues between now and when the snow starts tonight. Be safe!

Things are starting to get a bit icy here near Ava. Still raining though! DaHubby had to go rescue a neighbor, he started for town and his truck died. So when he went to start our truck there was some ice on the windows. Needless to say with the rain and all he is not a very happy camper right now.
Making Chili-Mac right now. So I guess I better get some cookies started to ease his mood a bit.

Stay safe all.

Okay, where is the snow? It did not hit us here (outside of AVA). We lucked out so far, unless there is more on the way. Have a few flakes falling but I expected to see tons of snow this morning and there is hardly even a dusting on the ground. Which is fine with me.
So, how much snow did everyone else get?

And school is cancelled again today.
