I had a laugh. My parents strawberry patch is putting on flowers and berries again.
They built raised beds last year. With all this rain and heat they are going to have berries again.

Arrow Our Front Porch (mosquito free!)

Hey you guy's I'm starting this thread to kinda leave the door open for whatever.(hence the front porch).
I'll start
I think this winter will be a dousey. Wild weather is all you can count on in MO. I'm thinkin equal parts of snow and ICE. Speaking of which we need to build up the wood pile.

I hope you are wrong! I try to not be on the road when it is icy, but last winter I left work a little later than I should have, and ended up sliding off the road into a ditch as I made a left turn. Fortunately the damage was minor.

I would love to have one good snow day, with a heavy snow at night that stops in the wee hours of the morning - just late enough for us all to be stuck at home for the day. I just love those days...staying at home, snuggling on the couch, sipping hot cocoa (the homemade kind) and catching up on movies. And maybe build a snowman.

I just hope we can get the pellet stove in and the weatherstripping done on this old house before the cold sets in. This is our first winter in this house and the wind whips right through it right now so there is a lot still to get done. I never mind a decent winter as long as it isn't a long one.

Not mosquito free this weekend. Spent several hours at an auction yesterday, got a touch of sunburn and 4-5 mosquito bites. Not itching (yet).
