I'm looking for any information on just about any graphic design firms in just about any part of Missouri.

It will probably be limited to the larger cities, KC, St. Louis, Springfield and possibly Jefferson City.

I'm not sure what I'm really looking for. I currently work for the largest privately owned design firm in the southwest, RBMM, which is part of The Richards Group.

Employment, reputation, quality of work. . . I'm not having a lot of luck finding information on my own, and stumbled across this site from another forum.

Thanks
Gary

i've already been down that road Gmann. i used to be a graphic designer and looked far and wide throughout the whole state. many jobs can be found with local newspapers or magazines or the real estate books, but many of those positions wont get you more than $10-13/hr.

Yikes!!

I have found some firms in some of the larger cities that look promising. But you'd know as well as I, Missouri is not really considered a design mecca.

And no offense to all you Missouri folks!

I am in a production artist for a local printing company. Check the Clayton and Chesterfield part of town, as well as downtown. There are a couple of placement agencies that deal in only Graphic/IT personnel, one of which Mastercard hires out of. There are many positions $18-$28 / hr. but hard to come by. An agency would be your best bet in getting into a big company.
