I recall the first morning waking up in boot camp.

A friend from my hometown hollered----" only 730 days to go"

2 year draftee-------US Navy.

I started my shortimers calendar with one year to go-----365 days.

But this forum and thread are suppose to be about the attraction of Southwest Missouri, not the defense of California. Some folks simply stated why they had left one place for another, it's thier perception or opinion and until we have walked a mile in thier shoes, all we will have is our perception and opinion, Mine and Curm's differ from yours, your happy where your at, great stay there...me I'm gone in 1853 more days.....Adios Amigo...ps you better learn Spanish
Cali - I hope your future is grand in the Show-Me-State. One thing about this amazing country of ours is the diversity of the states. I truly am happy you have found a place that connects with you - no hard feelings to you or any of the Missouri folk. God Bless all of you!
