Can anyone advise on the damage done in Ripley and Shannon Counties by the floods. What is the current situation in those areas.

Poplar Bluff was flooded down by Freds and McDonalds. But I think it's okay now (as in the water has gone down). I don't know about Shannon county.

A few articles that may help:

btw, if recall story read earlier, the St. Francis River in SE MO near Patterson rose over 15' in ~9 hours. As to Shannon, saw article stating on the 18th that "Winona [Shannon Co, MO] county official reports FLASH FLOOD at 04:22 PM CDT - 3 individuals in a vehicle were washed off of the road into Hurricane Creek. A rescue boat flipped over placing 3 more individuals in the flood waters. Water rescue continues."

A quite good time line of the events can be found here too:

Looks like our friends to the south in Arkansas are getting some high waters now... best to them also.

Well, I am from Eminence. Highway 106 West between E Highway and Alley Springs is now shut down due to road flooding down hillside.
