At 6:25 AM we did in fact have another aftershock, but this one was not centered near the original quake epicenter, but near/in Fenton, MO.

Small earthquake shakes Missouri; no reports of damage - Yahoo! News (broken link)

I don't know if I would've noticed it had I not already been awake...anyone else?

I felt it and our dog started barking. It was short though. Maybe 5 seconds?

Yeah, I was just waking up, and it probably wouldn't have woken me up otherwise. I heard a dull boom at the beginning of it.

Wow, another 2.7 earthquake today near St. Louis.
What the heck is going on?
I started a thread on superstitions because I've had both a male and female cardinal tapping at my kitchen window all day.. Freaking me out.!!!!
Someone said that animals act strange right before an earthquake..so tell me..that's what's up with the birds and not my superstitions kicking in to high gear!!

I have to admit I have been a tiny bit more concerned. Where we live there are mine tunnels for miles. If we have an earthquake of significance we are in trouble. Some of the mines are filled with water and they haven't been able to find the bottom of one it is so deep. I didn't feel the earthquake in Illinois but a couple of people I know did. When I lived in Texas there was a small one in 1996 (I think the date is right) about 15 miles from where I lived. I felt that one it was really a strange experience for someone who has never experienced one.
