Springfield, Mo. ---United States Deputy Marshal Lamb Monday raided the quarters of Lemuel King and Charles Tucker, two suspicious characters who were believed to be passing counterfeit dollars in circulation here, and found what is evidently a complete outfit for making spurious coin. King was captured and taken before Commissioner Pepperdine who held him to the United States grand jury and sent him to jail in default of bail. Tucker escaped and is still at large. Both men came here a month ago from St. Louis and claimed to be wall cleaners by occupation.
