What kind of information are you looking for?

Sedalia is a medium sized town...I believe the population is in the twenty thousands somewhere. There are several large employers (Tyson, Duke, Hayes Lemmerz, Wal-Mart)

It is the county seat of Pettis county, home of the Missouri State fair, full of historic homes and many other things.

Ask away and I'll give whatever information that I can.

I found Sedalia to be overpriced for the area. Cost of housing.
It may have dropped now, but last summer it was pretty high, and you really couldn't get your moneys worth. I lived there for a short while, and found it to be not quite what I wanted. I know the schools are a little scary, and that some locals told me to keep my children in the smaller rural schools for a much better education. But, Sedalia city schools offers free community college after you graduate high school. That would be nice.

If you can, if you are moving to the area, look at Cole Camp!

Avoid it. Not for traveling through but for living there.

It is MUCH closer to KC than Springfield. It isn't a nicer place to live though. Im not 100% sure but I think Warrensburg is the one right by Whiteman AFB. Sedalia is probably 40 minutes or so from there. If Im thinking of the right place.

yes. warrensburg is closer to whiteman.

as to sedalia, if u like a crap load of people for two weeks of the year and then nothing for the rest of the time it is a great place to live. there really isn't anything around the area that is worth much. i lived in warrensburg for 6 years. we used sedalia as a place to go get drunk that was different than our normal.
