I finally get it. THIS is what they've meant by "global, warming," right?

Not exactly. This colder period is to be expected due to the fact that we are at the solar minimum. The main argument that some make is that temperature increases lead to CO2 increases. That argument is a fallacy because CO2 increases are exponentially increasing thus leading to a slow rise in average temperatures.

I don't know about the rest of Phelps and Pulaski counties, but at my house and on the roads I drive, all we got was sleet and snow. No ice, thank goodness.

We had 4 inches of snow on top of the sleet this morning. I got stuck right at the foot of the driveway. Tried to bull my way through the mound left by the snowplow. Got high-centered, so I spent 45 minutes digging the car out. If I'd just spent half that time BEFORE I tried to leave, I wouldn't have been late for work.

I-44 was less of a problem this morning than yesterday. When I came home this afternoon, it was clear and I drove the speed limit.

This is great. I like some snow in the winter. It makes life interesting.

It's 25 outside now, and I think that's the high.

I'm glad everyone is safe and, for the most part, enjoying the briskness.

See what you've got to look forward to, Bassman? (Say hi to the wife.)

I thought I remember reading that the earth is now colder than it was when Bush took office. I'm not saying global warming is a myth, but I also don't think it's quite as bad as some people say.

As for this weather, here in South County (St.Louis), we got a wonderful eight inches, and it's awesome!! This is what winter should be like.
