My parents live in Ste. Genevieve County, and my fiance's Grandmother lives in Sikeston now. My family is kind of spread out now days, all the way from the West Coast to Illinois. I actually ate a Bella Italia once, but I can't remember how good it was. I really like Molly's in downtown Cape. A little on the pricey side but worth it.

I noticed that, too, whats up with that?
I grew up in Sainte Genevieve, my sis went to SEMO, I lived there for a year back in the early '80's, and loved it, cant offer much of an opinion on what it is like now, though.......
I wouldnt really consider Cape part of the bootheel, myself, geographically speaking, that section really starts south of Cape, where the topography flattens out and becomes part of the Delta country.

My sister goes to SEMO. It's a nice school.

Cedric the Entertainer went to school there as well.

I think the nearest airport is St. Louis. Cape has an airport, but apparently its only airline is going out of business.

Cape is about 2 hours to both Memphis and St. Louis.

There is about as much work in Cape as you expect of a small town- it has about 35k people. Most everyone who lives in Cape works in Cape, and many folks from the outlying areas work in Cape as well.
