Cottonwood, Mo. was located in 1871 to ??? about 8 miles north of Princeton, Mo. It was a whistle stop and provided water for the locomotives on the Chicago, Rock Island, Pacific Railway. There is no evidence of it left today. Go to the library of Congress web site: www.memory.loc.gov and look for maps of the C.RI.& P railroad. They have one from 1879 that shows where Cottonwood was. Hope this helps. ECK
