I heard we are supposed to get daytime temps up to 80 degrees later this week. Do you think the morels will to start popping about Easter?

I would say no. Temps may be up, but its still too early. Nighttime temps are still too cool.

I think I heard someone advertising in St Joe for morels $35 a gallon already! I was surprised to hear that someone either already found them or they might be taking orders.

Usually it's right at the same time as turkey season here in N. Mo. I look for the mayapples to come up first usually.

Ate them since I was young kid back in the '50's.

Couple found the other day
