As of Aug 24 8:15 am it is Vitor Belfort, rigas had this to say:

"vitor i think is going to be to small for this fight, but i believe a truly MOTIVATED vitor can beat almost anyone. thats just it though, will vitor be motivated or will he look like he did vs anderson right up until he got KTFO."

I don't think Vitor can get inside on Jones, too much reach and steps in and out too quickly. Jones by TKO stoppage.

I think the quality of this matchup will all depend on what vitor shows up, the vitor that beat rumble Johnson, or the one that stood in front of Anderson and hardly looked like he wanted to be there.

I expect jones to win, but will it be competitive?

With the exception of Anderson and übereem, the only people to beat vitor were big strong wrestlers, ie: randy, sakuraba, Tito.
Oh I forgot chuck (also a wrestler but learned how to strike)

I don't think Vitor has a chance against Jones, he seems to freeze up in big fights and if he does that again it will go pretty much exactly like the fight against Anderson did.

On a side note, I'm surprised at how much heat Jones is getting for not fighting Sonnen next Saturday. I don't think turning down a new fighter with such short notice is unreasonable but I guess with the PPV at stake he had to take the fight.

Jones is following the Greg Jackson mantra of play it safe. Jones will never fight sonnen either IMO. I don't know if jones is worried about his style, or if he just doesn't think him worthy but I don't think jones vs sonnen ever happens.

Who knows, Dana White holds grudges and he's going to be pissed at both Shogun and Machida for turning this fight down, so assuming Jones gets by Vitor then a Henderson fight in the sprint it might be Sonnen still hanging around.

I have not heard anything about it even being offered to shogun. Machida on the other hand IMO had everything to lose taking the fight with time for a half a camp before a title shot vs a guy he had already lost to.

So vitor joined the "blackzilians" (dumbest name hands down!) and specifically rashad Evans to train with. Does this help his chances to make this a competitive fight?

I dunno man, Rashad isn't teaching Vitor to wrestle in four weeks and he'd be the one to teach Rashad striking not the other way around. I think he'd be better off working with Couture for the clinch game, but I think he already did at some point.

So I seen Jon Jones vs Rampage, and Jon Jones started the fight on his knees with his hand on the ground. Why didn't rampage knee him or kick him in the face?

I think he can be beat with hands, but it would have to be a tall guy with a good jab or a short guy that takes a lot of chances, and throws short, compact punches.

And even then, if he has a good chin, it's going to be hard to stop him.

He's hard to beat. I don't think anybody in the UFC can beat him right now, so enjoy while it last. Honestly, I don't see why people hate him so much.
