I am not even a Nate Diaz fan, but with Khamzat Chimaev coming in closer to middleweight than welterweight @ 178.5lb, I am glad that Dana White didn't try to force Diaz to take the fight. Whether Chimaev is incompetent, or whether he's looking for an unfair advantage, the weight classes have to mean something. Let it slide and Chimaev will do it again.

White didn't actually throw Chimaev out altogether though, instead he'll fight Kevin Holland, who came in for his scheduled bout at 179.5lb - though that was already scheduled to be a catchweight bout with a 180lb limit, so Holland was right on target. Meanwhile Diaz will now face Tony Ferguson. Yes, it's a little bit chaos as White juggles fighters, trying to preserve revenue no doubt.
