The Spring Hill store would be suitable for Trader Joe's or EarthFare. At one point, it was a relatively upscale Delchamp's supermarket.

Kroger let it slip during an interview with a Columbia news station (they are buying a large Carolina grocery chain) that they are looking at other options by the end of the year in Southern Alabama and Florida... geez...wonder who that could be! For Kroger, it would be ideal as they would get a distribution center and have an immediate presence in the gulf coast region. But IF THEY DO buy out Belle Foods, it wont happen until early 2014, after Belle Foods emerges from bankruptcy.

Belle Foods made several poor decisions that have led to a quick demise. First, it sold off Bruno's pharmacy business to Rite Aid, a chain also having its own problems. Second, Publix's growth of new stores in Alabama and stability quickly outwitted Belle Foods.

With Belle Foods' demise, CSWG may be closing its distribution center that was once Bruno's.
