I just received a job offer for a position on Airport Road very close to I65. I am looking for either a 1 bedroom or Studio apartment. I would like to be as close to work as possible.

I will be new to Mobile so I do not know where the NightLife is in the city.

I want a nice safe clean apartment complex not to far from work and not to far from Nightlife.

Any Recomendations?

Pine Bend or Windsor Place are about as close as you're going to get.

Are they both nice and safe apartments? And where is the NightLife located in Mobile?

Yeah, Pine Bend was renovated a few years ago.

Nightlife for me was a gay club on Conti St a dozen years ago, but you're probably looking for something different. I believe most of the "nightlife" will be downtown near Dauphin St.

How common are taxis to and from Dauphin St? And would you recommend anything more towards the middle of Daphin St. and the airport blvd/ 65 intersection?

You can get cabs readily, but you need to call ahead. If I were you I'd look in midtown for a place to live. All the nightlife is downtown off of Dauphin St. Midtown is a good place to live, centrally located to your work and nightlife. The area around Airport/I-65 is nothing but malls, big box retailers and congestion. Not an ideal location to live, for me anyway.

Surely you must be forgetting the dozens of local bars and restaurants in downtown/midtown Mobile...

We stayed at Windsor Place a few years back, nice complex, gated, safe. In walking distance to a few local bars in strip malls from what I recall, close to the Interstate, a bunch of restaurants and stores nearby.
