24 story Hyatt hotel tower with over 450 rooms will NOT be downtown...per se.. but near Duval and Broad. Wouldn't this be in a Brookley flight path? Somebody's trying for a waterfront hotel!!!

Yes. Duval and Broad would most certainly be in the flight path of the north-south runway. The FAA would not be OK with this.

Where did you hear this?

Guests to the Hyatt hotel would have sweeping, scenic views of Birdville, Garrows Bend and the McDuffie Island Coal Terminal.

Imagine if Mobile would've did similar things like San Diego or Tampa even Jacksonville did with they downtown/waterfront areas. I wonder if they would've put most of its industrial businesses further south in the Theodore Industrial area if both the city and town and Port authority would've had some type of agreement years back. Maybe use the Brookley Field as a passenger airport probably would've became a international airport a few decades back.....just a imagination
