Default Bath and Body Works / White Barn

The relocated Bath & Body Works will be 4,037 square feet and engulf the former Cache space along with approximately a third of the old Buckle space next to it.

Here is a link to the construction bid documents:

The Shoppes at Bel Air Mobile, Al

If you look at the key plan on the table of contents inside the bid document, you'll see that Rouse still seems intent on redeveloping the former Belk space into a smaller corridor of tenants with a large anchor. Adjacent to that, they want to carve out 25K square feet for a new junior anchor.

I hope they do something with the former Parisian/Belk space, other than the rumored Academy that was floated last year. Re-malling the space would be ideal, but given the hiccups in the plans, and the declining retail market, as well as the location of the area itself may make re-merchandising more difficult, other than simply carving out the 25,000 square foot tenant and hoping someone else will lease and develop the remaining space.

Starting to see some signs of life again. The "temporary wing" is starting to clear out and it looks like work is beginning on the White Barn/ B&BW and Baumhowers spaces....

Business is way down at PF Chang's. My friend who has worked there in the kitchen since it opened just quit because they are drastically cutting everyone's hours.

I wasn't impressed by PF Changs to be honest. Tasted like overpriced take out food.

And it doesn't help that you can BUY their products in the freezer aisle! I don't know what the difference is between what you get in the restaurant and the stores.

Speaking of which, don't waste your time at BJs, unless you like being served Tyson Anytizers and Pizza Hut pan pizzas.

But in a brighter note, Lagniappe had good things to say about Grimaldi's. I haven't made it there yet but I would definitely like to give it a try...

Abbondanza! Yes, there

There is definitely a difference between the two. The in house made food is better, but that isn't saying much. BJs is definitely just another TGI Fridays clone. The menu is gigantic and it's all pretty meh.

Grimaldi's on the other hand is really good. The crust is good and the ingredients are nice as well.
