The one location is leaving Birmingham and not soon enough. It was so horribly managed that whatever appeal it had went down the drain.
I'm sure Sprout's helped kill it, as well as the expansion of Fresh Market. The stores are just too small and lack the specialty items that draw customers in like the other stores. They also probably should have opened in an underserved part of town if they had no more to offer against all the competition we have.

The Fresh Market is a specialty-gourmet grocer, not a specialty-organic grocer. It does not compete against Earth Fare, Sprouts Farmers Market, and Whole Foods Market. I doubt The Fresh Market has anything to do directly against Earth Fare.

If Publix increases its store count significantly in Mobile and Baldwin counties, it is possible Shipt may expand into the area.

Yeah but Baldwin County has 5 of them while Mobile has 2, it's perfect if Airport and University could get this coverage.

If Publix has more stores in Mobile County, Shipt may be more effective and more efficient with additional Publix stores to access and deliver promptly.

And meanwhile, Huntsville, Alabama's 4th largest city has Shipt service. And... Huntsville is the second city in Alabama to receive that Shipt Service.

After googling it, here is an link shipt.com
It is a grocery delivery service. I think Mobile is too spread out to have this work, although it could work in Midtown and downtown if the population increases. This service is not exclusive to Publix.

If it works in Huntsville, it'll work here.
