Looks like Taco Mama and Rock n Roll Sushi will occupy the Old Shell Rd frontage unit in the "Midtown Mobile" Publix development:

Most retail developments will feature some service-oriented tenants like nail/tanning salons.

Chaluer Method Brew & Espresso will be moving their location from Airport to Dauphin & Semmes Streets. In addition to their already amazing coffee they will take advantage of, what I assume, G's left behind when they closed and open a full bakery. I'm guessing they are going to add a roaster to the mix as well. Good news for Midtowners

The midtown Publix development is getting another restaurant...
The Simple Greek

Think of it as Chipotle meets Taziki's. It's backed by Marcus Lemonis...who may have stolen the concept from one of the contestants on his CNBC show "The Profit"

I hope they add a Nothing Bundt Cakes, Smashburger and/or Red Robin or Mooyah Burger, Which Wich, Jamba Juice, Pei Wei Asian Diner, La Madeleine French Cafe or Corner Bakery Cafe, and a Caribou Coffee.

It is surprising to me that developers still consider putting any chain restaurants in downtown or Midtown mobile when it's quite clear that that population does not care for chain restaurants. That stuff does well west of I-65 but not East.

It will be interesting to see. I've checked out their menu/pictures and it looks really good. It's a smaller chain so it might not carry the same feeling as the other ones do. Time will tell.

5 new luxury townhomes will be built in the Ashland Historic district. I like the renderings and I think the architecture is beffiting for the Ashland Historic District.

Does anyone have any updates on the proposed brown stone style town homes near midtown Publix ?
