Hello
My husband and I are currently living on the outskirts of Houston Texas and will be relocating to Mobile Alabama late Dec 2016 or early Jan 2017. We will be traveling to visit there soon to scope out some areas thats nice. I was wondering to reach out to some of you guys on some areas that would be nice to live in. I work from home therefor I would need a remote location that has cable internet services no dsl or satellite. I was able to find a few places online but if you guys know some websites I can also check out for rental property as well. We want to get a feel of a location before we make a full commitment to the area.
Thanks Alot

If you want culture, you'll want more than Baldwin.

Ok thanks. I just want a safe area to live in. I work from home so most of my time I spend at home 90% of my time and my husband works at least 14 hours a day. Price isn't an issue as long as it's just too ridiculous and price gouging.

Coming from paying high rent per month in a small house in houston won't compare to the size of the homes I've seen online for that amount in the area.

Baldwin county is good for a quiet life. There's plenty of properties with a good amount of acreage. I, just recently put together a synopsis that, IMO, is a pretty good run down for the Mobile area. Welcome to the area!

There are safe areas on both sides of the bay. West Mobile, areas of midtown and even downtown Mobile are safe.If you want outside of the city then Semmes and Sarakand are great places to live in Mobile County as well. I will say visit the area and get a feel of it. The Mobile / Bawdwin area is beautiful and has a lot to offer.Southsky's synopsis is dead on.

My area that I live in now isn't very city like. It's large enough with everything that we need. I don't mind driving 30 mins to the nearest mall however I just need a nice area where safety isn't going to be my biggest concern. We are in our late 30's but far from party people and large crowds. Very family oriented.
