Most of Mobile's port growth stems from what happened to the Gulf's busiest port (New Orleans). Now everything comes through Mobile instead of New Orleans, and I see Mobile undergoing plenty of expansions in the near future.

More cruise ships?
I took a cruise on the Carnival Holiday in February and it's still the only ship with a port in Mobile. But the crew was talking about a new(er) ship...and in the future, another line docking there.
