Enjoyed learning about Joe Cain on APT's Journey Proud show.
Seeing the pics from Sundays parade was fun
Cain's Merry Widows and Mistresses are definitely unique.
Thanks to Joe Cain for bringing Mardi Gras to everyone and Mobile
bringing Alabama a wonderful event.
North Alabama needs to learn more about our friends in Mobile

Im glad you enjoyed it ! You should come down next year and join the Joe Cain procession.I wish all of the cities in Alabama had at least 1 Mardi Gras parade. So Kudos to Huntsville and Decatur for throwing one.

This year was cancelled due to heavy rain all day, but it's usually a pretty good parade

Decatur celebrated our 7th Mardi Gras parade this year...it was pouring rain, but the parade went on! Huntsville cancelled theirs. Wimps.
Athens also now has a Mardi Gras parade.

Kudos to Athens ! And lol at the wimps comment. I think Huntsville is still trying to get it's feet planted in the tradition. When will the mid section of the state catch on ? Coastal and northern Alabama has it down packed.

They're catching on. I believe Talladega had something this year...not a parade, but some sort of dinner.

I think the expression is "down pat."
