Having a little problem pinpointing different zip codes in the city, so can someone help? I am attaching a zip code map, but could someone please tell me which is Midtown West, Midtown East and Midtown South. What is the zip code for downtown then?
Which are considered the SAFEST areas of the city, too, please?

Default Zipcodes

Zips are arranged weird here. Oakleigh Garden District and a lot of Old Dauphinway Historic District is basically 36604 zip. Murphy High School area(the future Midtown Historic District) is 36606. Some zips have bad areas in them, too, though.

Zip codes 36608 & 36695 cover much of the area of West Mobile. Which web site are you using - here's one I found helpful: Click for a Zip Code Boundary Map.

Yeah, 36695 covers a large area. I will not be suprised if it gets broken up soon.

Looking for information on zip code 36604 by the Midtown East Area to relocate. Crime and Safety Issues are important to me. I have always dreamed of living in a historic district but it appears a lot of homes are for sale in this area... any idea why?

There's not really an above average amount of homes for sale in that area. There are gentrifying areas on the southern periphery that may cause an above average amount of listings, but the amount of these would ever provide nothing really negative because several homes/buildings are being positively reactivated.

36604 - Midtown East is a great area with plenty of amenities and beautiful environs. Highly suggested!

36604 includes a lot more than Ladd Stadium.

Unfortunately, Mobile has a lot of residents who are paranoid and think they will get mugged every time they leave their homes. Midtown has a lot of great areas to live and the midtown and downtown areas are a fun place to live. For the most part, look for areas between Government St and Old Shell Road but there are some areas south of Government like Oakleigh that are also very nice.
