Hello Mobile friends. I am looking at coming down on July 3-4 just to visit and enjoy your fair city. We stopped one night a few years back and had such a blast we want to return.

Question: Would the restaurants and bars Downtown be open on Sunday July 3 and Monday July 4. We are a group of 3 in our 40s and 50s so not party animals, but want to eat and have a few drinks without walking blocks and hunting. It is a Sunday before a holiday and there is the big fireworks event on the night of the 4th so...hoping for a more lively scene than a normal Sunday or Monday. Thoughts?

Also, how is the July 4th event at the park by the bay? All families or could a few respectful adults listen to music, have a drink, and watch fireworks and not feel out of place?
