I have no experience in this area. I was just surfing around and saw some foreclosure properties at pretty low prices.

Anyone has any comments on this area? Advisable/not worth the effort/unless you're an investor/watch out for what? Any comments at all are welcome.

IIRC someone posted there were foreclosures in Mobile for the same reason there are in most other parts of the country.

If you are looking in one specific area, you might want to post it here as Mobile has some suspect areas. There are areas of town where buying would not be a good investment.

Thks Keeper. I wonder if 36609 and 36693 falls under suspect? I heard people advising agst Azalea area.

Both of those areas are fine.

As for Azalea Rd, it depends. Off Azalea between Airport Blvd and Davidson High School is a great area (Jackson Heights). Between Davidson and Cottage Hill has some patchy spots and some decent spots. Bewteen Cottage Hill and Government/Highway 90 is a great area (St. Lukes area). South of Highway 90 becomes patchy again.
