'Pickle Fish' on Old Shell Road. 'Mellow Mushroom' also isn't too bad and it's in the same area next to the USA campus.

Picklefish near Old Shell and University. Best in Mobile. Too bad I heard the location downtown no longer exists. It was truly a staple of Dauphin Street.

Call a pizza a "pie" down here & prepare to get slapped!

Pie only contains pecans, peaches, berries, etc.

When I lived off of Hillcrest Rd there was a place near my apartment called 'Italian Pie', not sure if it is still there though. It was on the corner of Hillcrest and Grelot.

Italian Pie off at Hillcrest and Grelot has been gone a couple of years. It went out of business before I moved out of Mobile over a year ago. In my personal opinion since Tony's Pizza on Government Street (back in the 70's) went out of business there hasn't been any good pizza or Italian. But I have found that Fazoli's on Schillengers Road has some pretty good Italian food....for a chain food place that is.

Although this is in Midtown in the Leinkauf neighborhood but actually very close to the beginning of Airport Blvd- I'd recommend La Pizzaria!
