Being from mobile and seeing the way that things were in the past i think that it has to change for the better. In 1994 - 1996 was the worst years of the city and these stats only show that things are getting back to the way they were wich is very sad. I think the mardi gras atmosphere has a lot to do with it also. But of course Katrina played a major role

umm does the past detemine the future for us? NO!!! I love being from the deep south and always will. I dont like some people down here but thats my opinion as well as theirs on me.. you cant take someones heritage from them just because of wrong doings

Yeah, the thugs who commit crimes at Mardi Gras are the same thugs that commit crimes any other day of the year. They're going to be doing their "thing" regardless of Mardi Gras.
