Would like some ideas on best places to live. I received a phone interview today for Thyssenkrupp (salaried position). Before proceeding, I would like to get input on the best place for my family to potentially move. My husband is black, I am white, our 3 children are biracial, they are very well behaved and do good in school so far (4,5 and 10 years old). I like to live close to shopping, but want to be in a safe area. We also LOVE the ocean, my husband is from Barbados.

This is my dream, to live closer to the ocean, so hoping all works out, but want to make sure my family will be happy and safe as well. Right now I drive 40-45 minutes to work, so I do not want to go any further than that, would really prefer a shorter commute.

All input is greatly appreciated.

Mobile is not on the ocean. We are on the bay (really where the delta becomes the bay), then there is the Gulf of Mexico, which then eventually does run into the ocean. Just FYI.

I am going to calvert for 2 days operator training for thyssen krupp.I saw on their website after all my research that you are required to work 12 hour rotating shifts if hired. Is this written in stone or
is it possible to work at least a set shift of say 4 12s on days?
