it's in the middle of nowhere- there isn't much going on- it's not all that attractive - Jobs? not sure why anyone would want to work there. I should see if the chamber of commerce is hiring.

very hard to find good rentals if that is what you are looking for. Have a job there, but no place to live. Not much info for you, but my thoughts

I live in Billings, and my business takes me to lots of small towns in Eastern Montana. Actually, Miles City is one of the smaller towns I like most. Frankly, I can't think of a town I'd prefer in Montana, and includes Lewistown, Sidney, Glendive, Sidney, Glasgow , Columbus , Hardin or many others. It is defefinitely a conservative town, but has a good location and a good heart. As a frequent visitor, it find it a nice town. Only about two hours from Billings

I live in eastern Montana not too far from Miles City. It is the largest town in eastern MT and as such has somewhat more shopping than the other towns, it has the only WalMart in the east for instance. But other than that, in general feel, I think it is pretty much no better or worse than any other eastern MT town. The economy there is mostly agricultural based.

Never heard that before havreman. Now you've got my curiosity peaked. Did that refer to some element of the local politics back in the day?

Here's what I THINK. I'm not sure though. Rick Davis was the big shot at KRYK. When other announcers would give the weather, they'd always say "Miles Davis City" and then give the temperature. I assume Davis was a native of Miles City. I don't know though. The name Davis is also common in Chinook. Soooo, I don't know for sure why "Miles Davis City" was used by other announcers at the radio station.
