Mine too. Now I'll be thinking about butter pecan ice cream all day and will give in to that temptation shortly after dinner...

But it is the low sugar variety, so it's probably okay.

Wait a minute. I heard that due to the Ice Cream act of 2007 that all ice cream is now low fat, no sugar, thereby low cal. But the still have lot of old packaging in stock and don't want to just throw it away. So the new low cal is packaged in cartons that show the old stats.

That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

Silly people... everyone knows the four basic food groups are sugar, salt, cholesterol, and preservatives!

Or was that Caffeine, Nicotine, Alcohol & Women??

Or maybe it was coffee, ice cream, wine, and pizza.

Hmm. Too specific, try again. Chocolate, ice cream, alcohol, and caffeine.

Too much work. How about Fast, Frozen, Instant, & Microwaved?

Still too much work... Frozen, Instant, Take-out & Delivered.

Some masochist snuck in and changed it: too fat, too salty, too starchy, too tasteless.

Then there's the do-it-yourselfer's diet: Burnt, buried, smoked and smalahove.

They say all wisdom is contained in taglines... trouble is finding which one contains it!!

Default "Is there a doctor in the house?" ........ "Cancel that .. is there a CHEF in the house."

Sorry to interupt, folks, but Rez seems to be in the middle of some sort of food channel induced breakdown.. When he gets like this we usually lock him in a room with a small fridge and a Rival crock pot.. He'll be ok in a few hours..

What Rez was trying to say is that the four basic food groups are: boiled, grilled, fried, and deep fried.. ... After years of experimenting, I've personally refined it to three groups: raw, burned, and cooked by someone else..

THIS JUST IN ... Apparently Rez's condition has worsened a bit.. It seems someone accidentally locked him and his crock pot in the room without an electrical outlet.. But don't worry, folks, we're prepared for emergency situations such as this.. We have some vacumn packed portions of Jimj's award winning BBQ ribs.. They've been nuked and administered to Rez.. He should be fine very shortly.. This cure can only be used infrequently because of the intense delicious taste of the ribs and sauce.. It can quickly be habit forming.. But it's a very reliable cure.. Apparently, once you get a taste of the ribs, nothing that's bothering you seems to matter anymore.. So please be assured that the Rez situation is completely under control.

I'll tell you what my problem is, it's that I never did get them BBQ'd ribs. Tease me with an empty crockpot, will you, then eat the ribs before they can be shoved down the food slot! GRRRRRRR!!!!

Well, I'll fix you... I sneaked out the back way, went home and had bacon and chocolate cake for dinner (I think that's at least four food basic groups... sugar, salt, chocolate, and nitrates), and invited everyone but whoever ate those ribs, so there!!

So here's an update..... We left home yesterday to go judge a bbq comp (we're waiting for the trailer to be plumbed) at this hotel JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa
and on the way had to stop and get something for the 2 hour ride. Two scoops of Thrifty's Cherry Chip and Pistachio later we're on the road. Take a look at the pic's of this resort, they don't lie, IT's GREAT! At 5:30 the hotel bar gives out a free shot of tequila to kick off happy hour. One of the guys had a javelina come right up to his sliding glass door which is a dangerous thing for a wild animal to do to someone who has a big smoker a few hundred feet away and is always looking for something unique to toss on it.
It was nice and warm last night sitting on the patio watching the lights of Tucson twinkle and now it's probably 68 outside while I watch the sun come up drinking a starbucks and watching the world awaken.
I'll try to remember to post some pics of the comp (our room overlooks the comp site) so y'all can see what we're up to...
More later....

This works for me. I'll bring the 5th basic food group, that being a dark ale which some call Porter.
