Default Travel in Wyoming

For those of you who might want to travel into Wyoming, or pass through, Wyomings DOT Wyoming Department of Transportation has a thing going called 511 Notify.

511 Notify is a place that you can sign up with your email address, or your cell phone number, or both. Then go through a list of Interstates, Highways and such and select the route you want to take. Then, if there is any alerts, advisory's, closures, blowing snow, slick, black ice, etc on any stretch of that road, they will send you a txt alert to your phone or a email to your computer.

I signed up for a couple roads today that I suspected would have some problems and I got a total of 8 reports. The reports would say:

I-80: Reduced visibility btwn Exit 142, Bitter Creek and Exit 158, Tipton Rd. 04-JAN 19:28

Really helpful if you have to make a run through or into Wyoming in the winter.

I manipulated this thread so that I could put the Highway Web Cams as the very first post.

If you are traveling, you will now be able to check out conditions by checking the web cams for Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota. So you may have to scroll down to find the state and and particular webcam you want.
