I can eat Brunshweager (SP?) But typically I'm not a fan of liver.... Although I'll cook and choke down some liver and onions every once in a while because my wife likes it...

Default the concept is simple folks.

The concept is simple. I think you are all getting us confused with the ignorant rednecks of the south and your paris hilton tv shows. Exact opposite. We love and respect where we are from and if it isn't broke don't fix it. From your perspective the city is too crazy. Yet you move away from it only to find that you have to interact with people whom you aren't familiar with on a personal and real level which is something you're probably not used to. Im not talking about fake bs office kiss butt talk. If you also love a place because it is so beautiful then don't destroy it. Get your dirty hands out of the cookie jar. Look at it this way. I walk into your mothers house and decide im going to throw half of her stuff outside in the trash and repaint the house the color that I think suits her and her neighborhood without asking her if it was ok. And even if she did protest I would just tell her she's old and doesn't know what she's talking about. You'd be pissed. Montana is our mothers house so who are you to change laws and destroy the habitat that you say motivated you to move there? Im fourth generation and we are trying to be civil but you know what they say, civility is uncivil.

yep people grow up in some hell hole city and begin to hate it, and they want to live in a nice place in the country where there is some natural beauty. then when they get there, they in certain ways try to transform their new environment into the same hell hole that they fled.

Montana's like Alaska and other large topographically divided areas; asking if you'll fit in depends on what part you're moving to. I'll allow we've all got a thing or two in common if we agree we like our state and want to preserve the best about it. But there's divisions of thinking between the east and west, north and south; lots of cultures in the 4th biggest state in the nation.

I've traveled all over this state for work/play and noticed it everywhere; habits, lines of thinking, resentment about who gets what..but we all pretty much love where we live, and expect those who migrate here to do the same.

And not one has mentioned the subtle but mouth-watering taste of lutefisk yet..
