Heh heh... Silvertip is right, tho I think it starts where the Missouri River bisects Mandan from Bismarck. One state east.

There is no Midwest in Montana.

Montana is the West. Don't try and confuse it.

Geography: why you're lost, or if you think you're not, you're holding the map upsidedown.

I agree with ElkHunter... Try Illinois or Iowa. There is no such thing as a "Rocky Mountain, Midwestern town"

In terms of the people being reminiscent of Midwesterners, I think that seems to start about Miles City. As far as scenery, it doesn't look very Midwestern until you get well into North Dakota. In my mind, this part of Montana is where the nickname Big Sky Country came from.

Depends what you consider Midwest. If it includes the Western Plains states like Nebraska or Kansas then you'd consider Eastern Montana part of the Midwest just as you would Eastern Colorado or Wyoming. However if you consider the Midwest the rolling countryside of Iowa, Missouri or Illinois then you probably wouldn't. I'd just call it part of the Great Plains.
