Could someone tell me what part of Montana gets the least amount of snow? Someone told me today that it is the Stevensville/Misoula(sp) area. Is this true? Thanks you in advance.

Highly doubtful. I'd guess it's somewhere in SE Montana.

This map shows the precipitation (snow and rain) in Montana.

PRISM Group

Many places, the precipitation is more snow than rain in a year. Snowy cold winter, hot dry summer, but it snows everywhere in Montana in the winter.

The precipitation map does not cover snow. It covers rain.

Here is a chart, listing average annual snow fall by cities in state. You can look on a map, to see where they are located in the state.

Average Annual Snowfall in Montana - Current Results

Some of those listed, may be a little remote if you want to be near a city.

The biggest city in the state is Billings, in the south central part of the state.

Billings always seemed to get less snow than other parts of the state, but that doesn't mean it never got any.
