Glasgow Courier - WOLF SIGHTINGS REPORTED IN THE PINES, HINSDALE AREAS

Maybe these guys have plans to take up residence on the American Prairie Reserve? If they get tired of an all bison diet, they may choose to make occasional forays away from the preserve to sample the readily abundant governmentally subsidized beef and mutton which the region is known for.
I hope they have lots of strong healthy puppies who choose to call the area home.

While I'm not a fan of government subsidized grazing, this comment may get you into some trouble, so I'd be careful.

The comment may stimulate some discussion. Maybe the wolves will concentrate on thinning the elk herd in the Missouri Breaks.- They've been raising heck with our fences and getting into haystacks for several years.

A better solution would be raise the quota on the permits on the gamerange so PEOPLE can eat. Montana had prairie wolves before they were "supposeably" wiped out. The Reserve already has an established wolf, grizzly, mountain lion and coyote population. It showed that on the documentary.

Grizzlies as well? I believe the other ones but the nearest grizzly population would be in Yellowstone or the Northern Continental Divide Ecosystem.

I promise you I saw one last year around November, I submitted a wolf sighting to the Fish and Game but never hear back. It was so obvious not a dog or a yote, it was outside Poplar. Late the afternoon and it was running up a small rise, all the hair on my neck stood up..LOL...

Sadly, someone told me they let out their dog, a cocker spaniel, and the dog was just out the door, when it was snatched up that fast by a wolf! Which means the wolf had been probably watching the home, waiting for the "prey". That is pretty scary. Could wolves be a danger to children?

Might have been a black bear, in any case, it showed a bear. I was so ticked off by that point my judgement may have been impaired.
