I didn't live there, but we drove through or stopped in the area to fish. I know it's a small town, and would expect a small town mentality along with it. I can't imagine there's going to be a ton of high paying jobs, if any...

I personally like the area, and you're not far from some nice rivers and mountain areas, and it's not too far of a drive to Billings if you need to buy something you can't find...

If you want a slightly smaller town, don't forget to check out Polson and Whitefish. They are on the outskirts of Kalispel and a short drive from Missoula. Hamilton is also a nice small town, just south of Missoula.

I grew up in Billings, and moved across the state before moving out. My personal opinion is that you want to stay west of Billings for sure... east is pretty bleh.

thank you jeff, my husband and son will be happy to hear about the fishing and lakes; they are anxious about hunting as well. the deer in florida are small. my husband hasn't even attempted to hunt down here. i am looking to work in the hospitals surrounding columbus and maybe drive down to wyoming to work. any one know anything about the hospitals and the pay?
