Allright, today im just starting to really feel the pressure and need to get the hell outa my home state of Montana and town that I've been in for over 31 years. Getting tired of the same old people, same narrow minded college town, stinky and opinionated liberals and hippys, prissy girls with no desire to date and or too stuck up to bother, same old crappy and unreliable weather patterns, same old small town mentality and same stupid mountains with hardly any good snow for skiing anymore. Don't even get me started on the lack of any type of IT industry here, let alone decent pay to afford housing in this town, HA! $300k+ for a semi decent 2 bedroom, 2 bath house? Screw that Batman.

I'm Especially tired of all the narrowmind and downright childish Griz fanatics in Missoula, the overpriced and flatout train robbery that is our UM college and its administration doing a crappy job with all these rapes and trouble making Griz players. The list goes on and on for me.

I'm just really starting to feel the need for more and bigger in my life and this early 30's bachelor is about this close to getting the hell outa this rusty dodge of a town/state. Anyone else just about had it with this place?

First of all I'm old enough to be your grandfather and then some........and I've lived in Montana a couple of years longer than you've been alive......so I feel somewhat qualified to make a couple of comments on your "rant".

A Suggestion:............... There is a book available (authored by Norman Vincent Peale) that cost approx $10.00 from Amazon.com entitled:...."THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING". (....or go to the Missoula Public Library).
If you really want to have a positive impact of your life.........give it a try! What have you got to lose?.........

.....If you continue to harbor all these negative feelings about everything that you are confronted with on a daily basis..........you and your life will never amount to even a "tinker's damn".

.....I suggest you look in the mirror and ask your self:.."I wonder if what I see isn't the biggest and most distasteful aspect of my everyday life?"

Good Luck..............I think you'll need it.

You're definately more intelligent than I am. I wouldn't be able to tell a stupid mountain from a smart one

I suffer from lifelong battle of OCD and Anxiety so positive thinking, is very hard for me, even with my new medication and therapy. Doesn't help when Im just sick of being in the same place all my life. Edit: Just found your book for free in pdf format after a web search, because im good like that

Move to a larger city, like Wash DC, Chicago or wherever. Even Denver.

If it's better- stay there.

It's your life. Make it happen.

While I’m not nearly as tenured as Griz in this game I have been around a little bit myself. It’s human nature to what what you don’t already have. I spend most of my time in an area that you are describing as somewhere you’d like to be. Once again human nature being what it is, I can’t wait to get the heck out of here and get up there full time.

My advice is to go out and see the world. You can always come back.

You've gotta do what makes you happy in life. There are no bonus points at the end for going through it as a sourpuss.

Re: Your rant, outlook on life, women, etc. -you've got 13 posts, and from a quick glance, they all appear to have some sort of negative bent to them. Well adjusted, happy, positive women want to be with men of the same outlook, not with someone who is bitter and angry. You have to change yourself and your outlook on life before you're ever going to find yourself surrounded by or romantically involved with positive people.

Go find what makes you happy, no reason to live life any other way.

Although I do not feel the same way you do, I definitely think you should leave Montana as soon as possible because you sound so incredibly angry, pessimistic, and unhappy.

Let me give you some advice that helped me a lot the last time I was unhappy where I lived: Think of the last place you were happy. Then go there.

Cheers.
