AT 542 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO
INDICATE A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE
HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS
LOCATED NEAR BOX ELDER...OR 9 MILES NORTHEAST OF BIG SANDY...MOVING
EAST AT 45 MPH.

THIS ALSO INCLUDES HIGHWAY 87 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 82 AND 98.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BILLINGS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH
FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

* TIMING...RAIN AND SNOW WILL DEVELOP THURSDAY MORNING. THE
PRECIPITATION MAY BECOME ALL SNOW DURING THE AFTERNOON THURSDAY
AND CONTINUE HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH FRIDAY.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...HEAVY WET SNOWFALL OF 6 TO 12 INCHES WITH
HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST WINDS 10 TO 20 MPH.

* IMPACTS...DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE BUT THE
MAIN THREAT WILL BE DOWNED POWER LINES AND TREE DAMAGE DUE TO
THE HEAVY WET SNOW. THE COLD AND WET CONDITIONS MAY ALSO BE
HAZARDOUS FOR UNPREPARED HUNTERS.
