We are considering on moving some where in the western half of Montana
Can any one let me know what fuel prices are and the main fuel used to heat with
and all are in their areas

Fuel to heat depends upon community availability. Natural gas, heating oil, coal, wood, wood pellets, corn, electric heat, and propane are the usual options. The prices vary widely per community.
Some areas do not have natural gas. Western Montana homes tend to have wood burning of some type as secondary heat source if not primary.
If you pick a location or two people could respond with better specifics.

I agree that you would have to let us know what town / community you were thinking of...the western half of Montana is very big.

Thank you all for your reply.
We have no set place as of yet.
there are so many nice places in MT. A lot will have to do with a lot of things. such as being able to
get off road in a 4X4 truck or what ever ,hiking,camping,prospecting, and the such.
plus If we buy some property. whats it going to take to build or add on as far as restrictions,
permits, impact fees and all.
All so what are gasoline and diesel prices runnig about average Sorry but its been a couple years since I have through beautiful Montana

Best suggestion I can make is pick your place and then ask about prices and building. Different counties have different restrictions for building. There are too many variables in what you are asking to get definite answers.

As of this morning, gas is averaging $3.58 a gallon in Missoula.
