I was looking around and I found this strange webpage. Someone is selling a very remote cabin in Montana. It is a short webpage to read, but as it goes along it starts to get funny strange and then stranger. Finally it suggest you may go mad if you buy this land and move there. I wanted to post this on the survival forum also, but I know double posting is frowned on. I just thought maybe people would get a laugh about reading it there also. It was been up for a while, I think, some years. I think they put it up and forgot about it, but it shows up when you search under "remote land for sale in Montana".

That's not Ted Kazinski's old place, is it? I think I spelled it close enough for somebody to recognize what I am talking about.

Are you talking about the cabin near Trego?

Sounds like a nice place, a little close to town, but otherwise with the exception that from one end of the property to the other is a change in elevation of 500 feet, doesn't sound too remarkable.

No crop ground so raising a garden could be a challenge, otherwise sounds like a pretty normal place

I get the idea the guy has some problems with the road though

Huh. I have been out there, and seen some really interesting cabins...most look like a Tough Shed. And that was the fancy ones.

There really are folks out there, who just don't want to be in the world. Can't say I blame them. I know one guy, lives 50 miles out from Big Timber, the place is so remote, he is basically stuck there in the winter. He is convinced there will be a huge nuclear war some day...

On living in a remote area and Internet connection, they don't even sell computers that are compatible with dial up Internet connections any more! This is if you live, semi remote, and have a land line. There are lots of places in Montana where dial up is the only option! I talked to a computer guy from back east the other day, he seriously thinks we are Stone Age here.

Default It does not look like a shed

It is kind of cute, I thought I posted the link, maybe I forgot, but here it is now. There are photos of the interior is you click to the second page, there is a link called details that takes you to that page.

There is no where you cannot have at least decent Internet. It is called Satellite Internet, works like Dish Network (one potential provider).

Actually what a lot of folks from Montana and Idaho would prefer.

Personally, I would give up the internet. Survival, gathering fuel, maintaining road, etc... would be a full time job, and then some.

The outside photo of the cabin, itself in kind of cute, not like a tool shed or a shack at all. It looks like a little cabin. Did you see that photo?

Yes, I looked thru the whole page. Perhaps I don't see cuteness because it isn't very far outside the norm for the area.
