Hello, I would like to move to Montana and would very much like to know where would be the best place to live in. I am an accountant in Garden Grove Ca but I am looking for a change of scenery. I would also like to see recommendations on places where a Mexican like me is not too much discriminated against. Your input would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

i say go ahead and do it.

i've often wondered about some posts here, but never thought of the potential of computer generated ones.
good point to mention racism, but also might want to touch on light rail or lgbt.

There are very few minorities here, with the exception of American Indians. Most folks don't really care.

If you want some Mexican culture available, the only place I can think of is Billings, although Missoula may have some of that.

For most areas here, Mexican culture is limited to Taco John's restaraunts and a few other restaraunts/casinos owned by Mexicans, or the seasonal workers that come in for the sugar beet harvest.

There is a Mexican female and a Cuban male where I work, but really, nobody cares.

Personally, (This is opionion based on what I see, no statistics), there are more Filipinos than any other hispanic speaking group. I know several here.
Lots of Russians have been moving here too, and folks from some of the Baltic states, but as long as they speak English, work and support themselves and their family, it really doesn't matter.

Montana isn't as consumed with race etc. as other some other states, like California.

Besides the race aspect that you seemed concerned about, what are you looking for as far as scenery, weather, altitude, job market, etc... you must know that MT is one of the biggest states and just throwing out a generic "I want to move...where should I go?" post isn't going to get helpful responses.

What size town are you looking for? What kind of scenery are you looking for? Montana has a pretty wide range of scenery. Although it's not the prettiest area of the state, I would recommend Billings. It's one of the more diverse areas of the state and is also the largest city. It's in the "banana belt" and the winters are not as severe.
