As a disabled vet, I can see it coming. I almost gave it all. Now what do I get?

I just read the article and they took four paragraphs to tell us nothing. Other than having "numerous additional concerns" they won't be honest about who the physician was, what the medical specialty was, and they have an "action plan", but they "declined to provide any specifics". Some action plan.

My profession is medicine. We are human and make mistakes. However, most of us don't hide them and falsify records. I hope Montanans raise Holy Hell on this until the vets get the quality care they deserve.

My mother works at Fort Harrison and believes it to be the worst VA facility she's ever worked at...

I'll see if I can't find out which doctor was fired.

I've got to say that I've had outstanding health care at the VA. I'm not sure what I'd do without it.

If he was fired, so be it. Don't drag it out. Best health care I ever got was from a doctor that was convicted of drug abuse. He's clean and sober now and can really relate to what's going on.

The description is awfully vague... the trouble with 'falsifying medical records' is that in today's litigious society, it can mean something as simple as forgetting to record giving someone a prescription-strength Motrin. If someone has it in for you, it can lead to getting your license jerked (I know two veterinarians who got in trouble that way, just from being a little lax about such records).

Default heart patient

I have been to a number of va hospitals. Grand junction, co. Is by far the best and runs like a swiss watch. Ft. Harrison runs like a broken watch. Oddly, they think that's pretty good since their watch is right twice a day.
I was diagnosed with a heart problem a year ago. I'm still witing for medication. I'd go someplace else if i had the money.

Have you mentioned this to your Primary Care Provider at your local VA Clinic?
