Hi, so I just got contacted about a potential job offer in Superior, as the news reporter for the Mineral Independent. I'm a country boy myself, from PA. The town I live in isn't much bigger than Polson, MT, and I regularly visit or go through smaller towns nearby that are similar in size to Superior. I don't have any trouble with small town living or any of that. I just wonder if any of you guys know much about Superior.

1. Any idea what the people are like? Are they warm and welcoming, or are they guarded/reserved/standoffish?

2. Is there a grocery store in town? Do people there have to go far away for basic needs? I assume that for things like medical problems you'd probably have to at least go to Missoula.

3. I know most people there work in labor industries like mining, ranching, logging. Any idea what the cost of living is like there? It seems like housing might be cheap but I can certainly see certain utilities as being high.

Any other tips/info tidbits about Superior and Mineral County in general are welcome.

Default I-90 noise

It's hard to not hear the noise from the freeway in Superior. The River is right there though.

I'm thinking about moving to Superior and would like to know where I could get filtered water, or water with no chlorine and fluoride. I have a rare form of diabetes called diabetes insipidus, water diabetes not sugar, and need to have all the chemicals removed. Thanks you.
