Hi there,

So here's our situation. We've lived in the Bitterroot Valley (Corvallis) for almost 10 years. I worked remotely for a big corporation in CA troubleshooting computers. Lost my job back in October. I did find interim work but it's not working out very well.

Anyway, we're looking to move to the PNW. Seattle area more specifically.

We own a beautiful 4 bedroom, 2 bath Lindal Cedar home built in 1994. It's on 5 acres. Also has a one bed, one bath detached apartment and rec room. Tons of outbuildings, etc.

The problem is that houses seem to sell very slowly here. Average days on market have been almost a year before. Granted, it's seeming to get better, but still.

I'm curious if anyone has any advice on how much below market value we should look into going in order to get a fairly quick sell. And by fairly quick. I'm thinking less than six months.

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions?
Anyone looking to buy a house with million dollar views of the entire valley?

Thanks for any help!

Right now there is a Lindal at Polson for sale that might be similar-- less acreage but on the lake, on market 79 days, listing price just dropped from 450k to $399,900.

Best thing to do is find a good, reputable real estate agent or even a residential mortgage banker and ask them for advice.
